Accidente de Camión en Alsip, Illinois, Dos Lesionados

El conductor del Taurus y su pasajero tuvieron que ser sacados de su coche y fueron llevados por el personal de emergencia al Christ Medical Center en Oak Lawn y fueron anunciados como en condición crítica.

Según el conductor del camión que era de McAllen, Texas, el conductor del camión acababa de iniciar un giro a la izquierda cuando sintió algo golpear a su remolque.

El Departamento de Transporte de Illinois recuerda a los conductores a tener cuidado extra alrededor de camiones y ser conscientes de que los camiones tienen puntos ciegos. El IDOT (por sus siglas en inglés) insta a los conductores a recordar:

Que si usted no puede ver los espejos laterales del camión, el conductor del camión no podrá verlo.
Nunca entre a la zona comprendida entre el camión y separador o acera cuando un conductor de camión tiene su señal de giro encendida.
No entrar al carril delante de un camión hasta que pueda ver la parte delantera del camión completamente.
